Organic Sunscreen Gives More Protection

Summertime is when the heat of the sun is at its peak. But by spending time at the beach, the rays and heat of the sun hits your skin twice as hard as when you are not. It is a known fact that summertime is almost synonymous to spending time at the beach. But people must not forget that their skin needs to be protected from the sun. Therefore best sunscreen products are a must have when one is to spend time frolicking and sunbathing at the beach. But it should not just be any sunscreen product. It has to be an organic sunscreen product.

What is a sunscreen product and what does it do? The answer is that it is a product in the form of oil or lotion that when applied to a particular part of the skin, it protects it from excessive ultraviolet rays from the sun that may cause skin cancer and early aging of the skin. These products are usually rated by their SPF capacity. SPF stands for sun protection factor. The higher the rating, the better the protection it gives to the skin. The sun protection factor is the capacity of the sunscreen to protect the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

There are two very dichotomous types of sunscreen, non-organic and organic. Those sunscreen products full of chemical ingredients fall under non-organic. Those face sunscreen products that are made from organic and unrefined oils are classified as organic. Though these are not made naturally, the high content of unrefined ingredients make thee product highly effective. Organic sunscreen products are easily absorbed by the skin and protect the skin more effectively than non-organic products. The main reason for this is the presence of titanium dioxide, a natural mineral that has the capability to block out the suns’ harmful rays.
